Facts:  There were $127.7 billion in U.S. e-commerce sales in 2007, according to eMarketer data. The research firm estimates that number will hit $146 billion in 2008. But while those numbers are impressive, online sales only account for about 4% of total U.S. retail sales - with much room to grow quickly.

More people are jumping on the net daily. Cities, stores and offices nationally now offer free wireless Internet access. And, as the price of computers comes down, millions of consumers who didn’t have access to the Web before could become new online shoppers.
