Stitch and Unwind Hosts Prayer Shawls at Rush Charity Drive
September 07 , 2015Northbrook, IL – Prime Publishing is excited to announce they are hosting another charity drive! Our yarn blog, StitchandUnwind.com, is currently working with the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Ill. on their initiative “Prayer Shawls at Rush.”
From now until October 5th, Prime Publishing LLC is collecting homemade prayer shawls to help benefit the patients at Rush University Medical Center. “Prayer Shawls at Rush” is a wonderful project to help bring comfort to those that need it.
Prime Publishing connects with organizations on a regular basis as part of their “giving back” program. Most recently, Prime Publishing has successfully hosted charity drives for groups including the American Heart Association, Project Linus, Special Olympics, Warm Up America, the Heartland Alliance, and more.
With the help of our charitable (and very talented) readers, Prime Publishing has donated more than:
• 6,300 knit and crochet baby hats to the American Heart Association
• 200 homemade blankets (crochet afghans, baby blankets, and quilts) to Project Linus
• 134 afghans to Warm Up America and Build Bed
• 100 homemade knit and crochet mittens to Mittens for Detroit
