Prime Publishing Welcomes Bloggers in First PrimeCon

Northbrook, IL—Prime Publishing, LLC hosted its first-ever blogger conference from May 16–17, 2019 at their main office in Northbrook, IL. Bloggers traveled from all over the country to learn from Prime Publishing’s expert staff about SEO, audience engagement, newsletters, and more.

The conference began with an opening keynote address from Executive Producer Addie Gundry. Addie is the author of a series of 11 cookbooks, published in conjunction with St. Martin’s Press and is currently the face of the RecipeLion Cooking Club, part of the RecipeLion Gold Club. Day 1 continued with two presentations, Content 101: How to Choose What Content to Create and Update and SEO Need to Know: An In-Depth Look at SEO Tools and Strategies. The day concluded with a content and SEO workshop where bloggers were able to work directly with Prime editors to guide them toward creating great content.

The second day of the conference began with two more presentations: Start Spreading the News: How to Get Eyes on Your Page and Emails People Won’t Delete: How to Get Readers to Open and Click. That was followed by another afternoon workshop with Prime editors, this time focusing on link building and creating newsletters. The conference concluded with a keynote speech by Prime Publishing CEO and President, Stuart Hochwert. Feedback for PrimeCon has been positive with some bloggers, such as Cindy deRosier from My Creative Life, documenting their experience.

Throughout the conference, attendees participated in breaks, make-and-takes, and Facebook lives, sponsored by different companies, including Darn Good Yarn, DecoArt, MoreCommerce, Oliso, Rust-O-Leum, Therm O Web, Tonic Studios, and Leisure Arts. The sponsors also generously provided samples for attendees to take home.
