RecipeLion’s Addie Gundry to Compete on Food Network Star
April 21 , 2017Northbrook, IL — RecipeLion’s Executive Producer, Addie Gundry, will be competing on the upcoming season of Food Network Star, premiering on Sunday, June 4th at 9pm ET/8pm CT. Led by famed chefs Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis, Gundry and twelve other contestants will demonstrate their cooking and TV personality skills to compete for a chance to star on their own Food Network show. A rotating group of guest judges, including Robert Irvine, Anne Burrell, and Alex Guarnaschelli will put the competitors on their toes in each week’s challenge. Past Food Network Star contestants include Guy Fieri, Jeff Mauro, and last season’s winner, Tregaye Fraser.
In the premiere episode, Bobby and Giada will greet twelve of the contestants as they arrive at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Not only will they need to pass one final audition before officially becoming finalists, but they’ll also have to compete against the winner of Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen, comprised of seven former finalists looking for another shot at stardom. Eliminated contestants will have the opportunity to win their way back into the competition in the web series Star Salvation, premiering on June 25th. You can check out Gundry’s submission tape here.
Gundry is Executive Producer at Prime Publishing and heads the culinary and video production teams. Her latest project includes spearheading a series of cookbooks, published through St. Martin’s Press (Macmillan Publishers). The first two cookbooks, Family Favorite Casserole Recipes: 103 Comforting Breakfast Casseroles, Dinner Ideas, and Desserts Everyone Will Love and No-Bake Desserts: 103 Easy Recipes for No-Bake Cookies, Bars, and Treats, will be released on July 4th and are currently available for pre-order on Barnes & Noble and Amazon. She has worked for several culinary icons, including Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, and Martha Stewart and maintains her own food blog, Easy Elegant Entertaining. She also won the Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen in October 2015.
