RecipeLion Cookbook Featured in Closer Weekly

Northbrook, IL—Three recipes from RecipeLion’s latest cookbook, No-Bake Desserts: 103 Easy Recipes for No-Bake Cookies, Bars, and Treats, were featured in the July 24, 2017 issue of Closer Weekly. The recipes, Orange Dreamy Dessert, Strawberry-Raspberry Fluff Cake, and Pineapple Dream Dessert, were highlighted as no-bake treats that work well for upcoming summer activities. Their particular appeal is that none of them melt in the sweltering summer heat, unlike other refreshing no-bake desserts.

No-Bake Desserts was released on July 4, 2017 along with its companion book, Family Favorite Casserole Recipes: 103 Comforting Breakfast Casseroles, Dinner Ideas, and Desserts Everyone Will Love. The books are the first two in RecipeLion’s 103 Recipes series, published with St. Martin’s Griffin. The cookbooks showcase the most popular types of recipes from the RecipeLion family of sites while abiding by author and chef Addie Gundry’s easy, elegant style of cooking. The next two books in the series, Everyday Dinner Ideas and Easy Cookie Recipes, will be released on October 17, 2017.

The RecipeLion cookbooks have had other high-profile press opportunities. Gundry appeared on In the Kitchen with David on QVC and has made appearances on Windy City Live, Good Day Chicago, You & Me This Morning, and more. Gundry also recently attended a book signing at The Book Cellar in Chicago and will be appearing at the Lake Forest Book Store for a signing on August 9, 2017.

Northbrook, IL—RecipeLion’s chef and cookbook author, Addie Gundry, appeared on Windy City Live on July 7. She brought along a few recipes from the recently released No-Bake Desserts and Family Favorite Casserole Recipes and demonstrated how to make Funfetti Birthday Cake Parfaits.

Family Favorite Casserole Recipes: 103 Comforting Breakfast Casseroles, Dinner Ideas, and Desserts Everyone Will Love and No-Bake Desserts: 103 Easy Recipes for No-Bake Cookies, Bars, and Treats are available for purchase now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, IndieBound, Powell’s, and at other bookstores near you.

These are the first cookbooks from chef, Addie Gundry. She received her masters in culinary arts at Auguste Escoffier in Avignon, France. She has worked for chefs including Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, and Martha Stewart on management, restaurant openings, brand development, editorial, marketing, and sales. In 2015, Gundry won Cutthroat Kitchen on The Food Network.

The cookbooks have been featured on QVC, Oprah.com, PopSugar, Parkersburg News and Sentinel, Cooking with Libby, Delish.com, the Chicago Tribune, the Herald Palladium, Times of Northwest Indiana, Forest and Bluff Magazine, Clever Cookstr Podcast, Good Day Chicago, You & Me This Morning, Windy City Live, and more. Chicago-area fans have the opportunity to meet Gundry and sample some recipes from the book at two book signings, one at The Book Cellar on 7/15 at 1pm and one at the Lake Forest Book Store on 8/9 at 6pm.

AllFreeSewing Hosts Successful Pillowcase Charity Drive

Northbrook, IL – AllFreeSewing proudly wrapped up its month-long Sew-a-Thon for Operation Christmas Child during the month of May. Readers donated a total of 1,102 handmade pillowcases for children in need around the world.

Pillowcases donated to Operation Christmas Child are placed in shoeboxes along with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items to be donated to children in need. Donations will be sent to the Operation Christmas Child Area Coordinator, Betsy Burnett, in Three Rivers, IL. A grand prize package was also provided by Plaid; Burnett is a Plaid ambassador.

“I am amazed at the talent and hard work that our readers put into our Sew-a-Thon”, said Ashley Jones, editor of AllFreeSewing.com. “Because of their sewing skills and generosity, these pillowcases can be used by children as regular pillowcases, bags, blankets, and security items. I’m so excited that we’ve surpassed our initial goal of 1,000 donations.”

Prime Publishing previously partnered with Operation Christmas Child in 2016 to help with shoebox donations and helped 3,965 children. This is the first year that AllFreeSewing has hosted a sew-a-thon on its site.

Northbrook, IL—Addie Gundry, Executive Producer and Chef, appeared on WCIU’s You & Me This Morning on Friday, June 2nd. She discussed her upcoming appearance on Food Network Star, premiering on Sunday, June 4th, on the Food Network. The Food Network Star showcases 13 talented cooks and has them compete for the chance to star in their own show on the Food Network. Gundry is one of the 13 contestants vying to become the next Food Network star.

Gundry also discussed RecipeLion’s upcoming cookbook series, published through St. Martin’s Griffin.
