Prime Publishing Hosts First-Ever Video Retreat

Northbrook, IL—Prime Publishing, LLC hosted its first-ever video retreat from September 6–8, 2019 at their office in Northbrook, IL. Ten bloggers traveled from all over the country to learn the ins and outs of video content creation.

The goal of the three-day retreat was for the bloggers to learn from each other about how to shoot and edit videos. Each blogger was sponsored by a craft company, and each blogger was responsible to create three exclusive videos for their sponsor. This means that by the end of the three-day retreat, a total of 30 videos were professionally shot and edited.

The sponsorship also included a Facebook Live video on the FaveCrafts Facebook page that featured a short demo of an easy craft project using materials by their sponsor.

Projects featured in the videos varied in scope, and a variety of genres were represented including quilting, crochet, painting, and more.

Bloggers that attended the retreat included Carolina Moore of Always Expect Moore (sponsored by Nancy’s Notions), Cheryl Spangenberg of That’s What Che Said (sponsored by Craft Chameleon), Kristen Johnson of A Girl and Her Glitter (sponsored by Xyron), Angie Holden of The Country Chic Cottage (sponsored by Plaid), Cori George of Hey Lets Make Stuff (sponsored by Benzie Felt), Heidi Kundin of Happiness Is Homemade (sponsored by Cricut), Laura Kelly Walters of Me and My Inklings (sponsored by DecoArt), Stehanie Paxman of Crafting In The Rain (sponsored by FloraCraft), Alexis Middleton of Persia Lou (sponsored by VELCRO® Brand), Marie Segares of Underground Crafter (sponsored by DarnGoodYarn), and Beth Watson from Creatively Beth (sponsored by Fairfield World).

The new videos will be promoted in the FaveCrafts Quick & Crafty newsletter beginning in October. Stay tuned for lots of great new video content coming your way from FaveCrafts and our top bloggers!

Prime Publishing Receives Two Honorable Mentions in ReturnPath’s Hero Awards

Northbrook, IL—ReturnPath’s 2019 Email Hero Awards were recently announced, and Prime Publishing, LLC, was the recipient of honorable mentions in two categories: offer email and winback email. Results were determined by a panel of judges, consisting of four Return Path email experts and a member of the Email Experience Council Member Advisory Committee, and spanned nine different categories. You can view the entire lookbook here.

Prime Publishing’s offer email campaign focused on generating more orders for their premium crochet magazine, I Like Crochet. They reduced scrolling by shortening the message, highlighted the sale in the subject line, used a moving gif in the message body, and featured a prominent call to action to generate nearly 300 orders.

Their winback email campaign was an effort made to re-engage consumers who had become inactive. They performed A/B testing on the subject line, and the winning one had an open rate that was 47% higher than the original campaign. Subscribers were then presented with the option to re-engage and stay on the mailing list or be removed.

ReturnPath provides data and insight to their customers to help them optimize their email marketing campaigns. They partner with more than 70 providers of mailbox and security solutions, covering 2.5 billion inboxes. They’ve been in business since 1999.
