Editorial Intern
March 16 , 2022Prime Publishing LLC is seeking Editorial Interns for our cooking and crafting websites. Interns will learn about digital publishing, including online writing, social media, blogger outreach, analytics, and content publishing. The internship is set up as a hands-on 12-week learning experience. Our goal is to not only teach skills but also provide opportunities to work on real projects.
Interns will work on our Editorial team and will learn about the following areas:
- Site Content – Monitor, create, and update content for the websites to increase site traffic monthly.
- Newsletters – Create and analyze newsletter content in order to maximize site traffic, newsletter performance, consumer engagement, and advertising opportunities.
- Community – Monitor and create content across social media networks and blogs in order to reach a wider audience while implementing strategic goals.
- Promotions – Secure product(s) for site reviews and giveaways in order to increase traffic, engage consumers, and network with companies and publishers while working closely with sales for new revenue streams.
Should there be mutual interest, we will share with you specifics of the internship program and the responsibilities entailed during a virtual interview.
Qualifications:
– College student, preferably with English or journalism concentration or equivalent experience.
– For summer interns, we prefer current juniors who will be entering their senior year in college.
– Graduate students who will be in school at least one more semester/quarter are also welcome to apply.
– Basic understanding of HTML and online media.
– Strong writing, editing, research, communication, and management skills.
– Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines effectively and multitask.
– Interest in and/or experience with women’s lifestyle content.
– Winter, spring, summer and fall programs available.
– Coordination with college or university for credit is available as determined by college or university.
To Apply:
This is expected to be a full-time remote position.
Interns typically work from 8:30AM- 5:30PM (with one hour for lunch). Flex time programs are available. We prefer interns who can work 5 days per week (full time).
This is a paid internship. Interns will receive a $3,000 stipend.
