Prime Publishing Raises Money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Northbrook, IL – From May 20-May 26, 2024, Prime Publishing raised money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through its quarterly Clicks for a Cause program.

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Their researchers and doctors work together to turn laboratory breakthroughs into lifesaving treatments for children from across the United States and around the world. And with donor support, St. Jude can provide cutting-edge treatments at no cost to families — so they can focus on helping their child live.

Prime Publishing shared chemo cap patterns and comforting recipes with readers to help raise awareness for St. Jude’s mission. Featured craft tutorials included the Sweetly Serene Hat, Pink Pigtails Chemo Hat, and Awareness Ribbon Beanie. Prime Publishing Supports Scouts BSA

On May 4, 2024, Scouts BSA Troop 671 of Wildwood, Illinois hosted their annual Pancake Breakfast.  This is the Troop’s largest fundraiser each year, and helps cover the costs of camping, community service projects, leadership training, and more for their Scouts and adult leaders.

This year, Prime Publishing was proud to donate subscriptions to support Troop 671, as part of their silent auction at this fundraiser.  The lucky bidders were the recipients of a, one-year subscription to I Like Crochet , I Like Knitting, We Like Sewing, or We Like Quilting.  Along with these subscriptions, which normally cost $59.00 per year, the winning bidders received a gift basket with supplies associated with their subscription.

Prime Publishing Hosts Seventh Annual Shawls for Charity Drive

Northbrook, IL – From February 1 to March 31, 2024, AllFreeCrochet and AllFreeKnitting proudly partnered with JourneyCare Home Health and Hospice for the seventh annual Shawls for Charity Drive. Prime Publishing Hosts 3rd Annual Cards for Veterans Charity Drive

Northbrook, IL – From October 1 through October 31 2023, Prime Publishing hosted their third annual Card Drive for Veterans through its website FaveCrafts.com. Prime partnered with Help Heal Veterans, an organization that provides free therapeutic arts and crafts kits to hospitalized and homebound veterans.

Readers were encouraged to send a card — homemade or manufactured– to a recovering veteran or military member. The cards were then added to a Therapeutic Craft Kit assembled by our friends at Help Heal Veterans. These craft kits help injured and recuperating veterans improve fine motor skills, cognitive functioning, manage stress and substance abuse, cope with symptoms of PTSD and TBI, while also improving their sense of self-esteem and overall physical and mental health.

The design and message of the cards varied. See below for some photos of the cards that were received!

“Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in your card making event,” said Gabby Bailey, Development Coordinator at Help Heal Veterans. “We truly appreciate you.”
